One of the region’s leading skincare brands has secured a major listing with top online fashion retailer Boohoo.
Having recently launched its INK’D range, Bury-based Skin Academy will now see the three products stocked online at the Manchester online giant.
INK’D, a product aimed specifically at the growing number of people with tattoos – launched amidst reports stating that around a fifth of Britons in the UK have tattoos – with a moisturiser, body oil and a hydrating serum in the range.
The INK’D range protects tattoos and provides essential natural vitamins to keep them looking vibrant and refreshed, is cruelty-free, paraben-free and includes coconut oil, shea butter and Vitamin E, which all work to condition and nourish the skin.
INK’D’s unique formulation in its moisturiser is one that also includes SPF 15 which protects the tattoo against sun exposure, preventing the sun’s UV rays from fading the body art.
Antony Wagman, Skin Academy chief executive, said: “We conducted extensive research into the tattoo industry which revealed more and more people are spending money on experiences and personal grooming with tattoo parlour numbers nearly tripling in a decade.
“Tattoos have now become mainstream and so it naturally felt right to extend our range and move into this market.
“We wanted to develop a skincare range specifically targeting tattoos that is high quality, but at an affordable price – one that refreshes, revitalises and protects the skin whilst making tattoos more vibrant, and we think the INK’D range does exactly that.”
He added: “We’re also over the moon that we have secured a major listing with Boohoo. It’s a huge bonus for a product that is new to market and I think the listing certainly highlights its qualities.”
