Beauty | INK’D Tattoo Care | The Care For Your Tattoo

WRITTEN BY: MELISSA SCHRIJFT

Ever since I was a little girl I grew up around people with a tattoo. I always found this very beautiful, cool and unique. Because you often do not see the exact same tattoo on another. At least if you don’t have the standard tattooed. When I was about 17 years old, I asked my parents if I could have a tattoo instead of money if I had a good school report.

My father was not immediately crazy about it, my mother thought it was less important. But my mother was also completely crazy about having tattoos. My grandfather, uncles and aunts too were covered in tattoos. After some doubt, my father agreed and downloaded a program with thousands or maybe billions of types of tattoos. I chose a small simple bracelet. Because I had a tattoo, my mother started to itch to take another one. So she also went looking for 1 item she wanted. And really not knowing she chose exactly the same bracelet! How special ?!

We decided to go together, she went first because I was quite nervous anyway. But I certainly wanted it. We both decided to take our right wrist. For example, we have had a mother and daughter bracelet for 12 years now, and it is very subtle that many people think it is a normal bracelet.

But in all those years that I have had it, I have never cared for it more than the normal body butter and lotions. When I heard that INK’D had released 3 products to protect and take care of your tattoo, I became very curious.

The three products consist of:

Ink’d – Protecting Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15

Ink’d – Nourishing Body Oil

Ink’d – Hydrating Serum

In these past weeks I have tested all three extensively.

Protecting Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15

During our vacation we already saw that we would have days with a temperature between 33 and 37 degrees. Great opportunity to take it with you, to test it and to swim or sunbathe. Of the three packages I received, it is the largest with its 100 ml. Not too big because he easily went in the bag to be able to lubricate regularly and to protect the tattoo from the sun.

Apply to dry and clean skin, massage it gently over your tattoo until it is completely absorbed by your skin. Don’t wash it off. Apply twice a day for the best results.

The cream has a fine thickness and spreads easily over your skin. It is quickly absorbed by your skin and does not stick at all.

For sale at Etos, 100 ml for 9.99 euros.

Nourishing Body Oil

This Body Oil comes in a handy spray bottle and helps your tattoo stay well hydrated and cared for. If you press the pump you always get small amounts so you can easily determine yourself if you need anything more. So it will not happen that you spray on too much.

Apply to dry and clean skin, massage it gently over your tattoo until it is completely absorbed by your skin. Don’t wash it off. Apply twice a day for the best results.

A bottle has a capacity of 75 ml but I have been using it for a few weeks now and it is barely out. Logical too, because I only have 2 fairly small tattoos.

For sale at Etos, 50 ml for 9.99 euros.

Hydrating Serum

If you go out during the day or in the evening and you want your tattoo to be Brighter and Sparkly then it is best to use this serum.

Apply to dry and clean skin, massage it gently over your tattoo until it is completely absorbed by your skin. Don’t wash it off. Apply twice a day for the best results.

This cream is a bit lighter in color than that of Protecting Moisturizer. But you can also spread the cream on your tattoo very easily. The easy thing about this is that I find it in a pump bottle which is very hygienic. A bottle has the capacity of 50 ml, but you can really do this for a very long time because you need very little for it.

For sale at Etos, 75 ml for 9.99 euros.

Recommended?

Hell yes! I myself have used all 3 regularly lately. For all three packages it says for best result that you have to use them all twice every day. After contacting the company, I was told that it is difficult, but if you start tanning, for example, you can apply the Protecting Daily Moisturizer. If you go out in the evening and you want him to stand out a little more while walking, you can apply the Hydrating Serum. For daily use you can easily use the Body Oil.

From me it does not necessarily have to be more conspicuous so I use it a little less but the Body oil and Moisturizer I have used a lot.

Please note that if you want to use this or other care for your tattoo, it must first be completely healed before applying anything else than what you were told to do the tattoo.

Love Melissa
